What Do They Do?
Inspiration Works is a creative studio space for young people aged 11-25 to access a mixture of creative therapies, workshops and creative groups. Off the Record’s experienced Art Therapist will oversee a team of volunteer studio assistants and art therapy trainees to ensure the studio operates on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, from 9am to 8pm, with all services FREE to access by young people in Bristol.
Off the Record are passionate about supporting young people with mental health issues and complex needs and do this through a variety of different projects around Bristol. Art Therapy is one of our most popular and oversubscribed therapies we provide. Due to the ever increasing demand by young people Inspiration Works was born to respond to this need and to significantly improve the environment in which it is delivered (because we believe young people deserve this), as well as to ensure that we continue to widen our menu of creative resources.
This young person friendly venue offers a large flexible studio space ( a large messy area for groups with a wide range of art materials), one medium sized training room, a small pod (for brief discreet conversations), a kitchen (the kitchen area will be used to encourage/teach young people to cook), and a dedicated small art therapy room for 1-1 sessions.
